Nanjing, February 19 (Xinhua)The Market Supervision Administration of Suzhou issued a notice on strengthening food safety during the epidemic prevention and control period, which stipulates that employees of food production and marketing enterprises must have a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours before they can work, according to sources on Monday.According to the circular, food producers and traders should strengthen training on food safety and epidemic prevention, and staff should have a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours, wear masks and wash their hands frequently, wear disposable gloves when touching ready-to-eat food, and change, wash and disinfect their work clothes daily.The circular also required third-party platforms and online businesses to implement “content-free delivery” in the delivery process, implement safeguard measures such as “food safety seal” and “Safety traceability card”, and clean and disinfect food insulation boxes at least once a day.At present, Suzhou Gusu District, Xiangcheng District, Changshu city and many other places further strengthen social meeting control, clear control of restaurants, public canadolescents operating scale and business hours, suspended in-class meals.A total of 52 confirmed cases and 29 asymptomatic cases had been reported in Suzhou as of 15:00 Sunday.The city has a total of 108 containment areas, control areas and prevention areas, 41 medium-risk areas.
